Embracing a new habit can feel like embarking on a mini adventure. It starts with some inspiration, perhaps a desire to boost your energy, master a skill, or simply add a bit of joy to your dull routine. While embracing a new habit comes with excitement, it’s hard to neglect the doubt that comes with it. This doubt is normal – this doubt allows us to stay in our comfort zone. We encourage you to embrace the excitement and acknowledge the doubt, both are part of the journey.
The journey is all about taking small, intentional steps and being gentle with yourself along the way. By setting clear, attainable goals and keeping a record of your progress, you can turn the process into a game of sorts.
Personally, I’ve taken up handstands and each little win builds momentum and makes the habit feel less like a chore and more like a rewarding part of your day. In the end, do what seems reasonable, safe and have fun! I invite you to try something new this upcoming November!
