EXCITING! The 1st quarter of the year is wrapping up, and the opportunity to Reflect, Redirect, and Execute is here. That’s right, the 2024 Game is still just getting started… My greatest Struggles existed because of my mindset, personally I was struggling the most with Comparison, Short Term Focus, and ALL or NOTHING thinking.

I hired a Coach to work with me for a Year where we met up Video Calls One to One Once a Month and with a Team of Peers (10 of us) on a Big Group Meeting Bi - Weekly. It was in our One to One meetings that the deepest conversations, vulnerabilities, and breakthroughs came through. These breakthroughs helped me to see how I was doing STINKIN’ THINKIN’.

The Group Meet Ups is where I ‘Borrowed’ or ‘Stole’ ideas on how to approach my challenges. Listening to others describe similar struggles and how they solved or were in process of working through them gave me insight, direction and I personalized my approach from learning through my Entrepreneurial Peers. Having the right mindset is crucial when striving for health and fitness goals. It sets the tone for consistency, resilience, and self-discipline throughout the journey. With a positive mindset, challenges become opportunities for growth, setbacks become lessons, and progress becomes sustainable.

Cultivating a mindset focused on self-improvement, resilience, and long-term well-being can significantly enhance one’s success in achieving and maintaining their health and fitness aspirations. How can we do this? How can we have a gameplan that we can test out and make adjustments?

At Movement Athletics we use the 7 Forms of Wealth in combination with S.M.A.R.T. Goals Worksheet. The 7 Forms of Wealth focuses on some of the critical aspects of our complex life including: Physical Health, Adventure, Love, Inner/Spirituality, Family/Inner Circle, Professional, and MINDSET. Not sure if your Mindset can use a check up? Signs of a  poor mindset when pursuing health and fitness goals can include:

  1. **Negative self-talk:** Constantly criticizing oneself or harboring self-doubt.
  2. **All-or-nothing thinking:** Believing that any deviation from perfection is failure.
  3. **Lack of resilience:** Giving up easily in the face of challenges or setbacks.
  4. **Comparison:** Constantly comparing oneself to others, leading to feelings of inadequacy or discouragement.
  5. **Short-term focus:** Prioritizing quick fixes over long-term sustainable habits.
  6. **Excuses:** Making excuses rather than taking responsibility for actions or lack of progress.
  7. **Fear of failure:** Avoiding challenges or new experiences due to a fear of failure or embarrassment.
  8. **Lack of self-awareness:** Ignoring feedback or not recognizing the need for change in behavior or mindset.

Recognizing these signs can help us identify areas for improvement and work towards cultivating a more positive and resilient mindset.

“The Master Mind principle: Two or more people actively engaged in the pursuit of a definite purpose with a positive mental attitude, constitute an unbeatable force.” Napoleon Hill
